Job summary

Egis is seeking a qualified HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental management for large-scale leisure and entertainment construction in the UAE. The role focuses on implementing the HSE Management System, coordinating with PMC teams and contractors, and driving a proactive safety culture on site.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years of HSE experience on major construction projects, with at least 5 years in a management capacity, and strong UAE regulatory knowledge, ISO 45001/14001

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with HSE focus.
• NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 or equivalent qualification.
• Professional membership with IOSH, IIRSM, ASSP or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the project's HSE Management System.
• Provide strategic HSE guidance to the PMC team, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through leadership, coaching and performance monitoring.
• Conduct HSE meetings and provide input to safe project delivery.
• Monitor contractor compliance with HSE plans and manage HSE performance across the lifecycle.
• Review and approve HSE documentation and risk assessments.
• Identify project risks and communicate control measures to stakeholders.
• Develop and implement HSE assurance programs (inspections, audits, safety walks).
• Prepare monthly HSE reports with KPIs and trend analyses.
• Maintain project HSE documentation and ensure permits and registrations are up to date.
