Job summary

Bilfinger Middle East in Sharjah is seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to oversee road and infrastructure projects. The role requires ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, with exposure to Sharjah City, Etihad Rail, and RTA standards, and coordinating with clients, consultants, and authorities.

You will conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations, monitor contractor HSE performance, and promote a strong safety culture across the project, leveraging a consultancy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mandatory).
• UAE Engineering Equivalency Certificate is mandatory.
• 12–15 years of relevant HSE experience.
• Proven experience on Roads & Infrastructure projects in the UAE.
• Familiarity with Sharjah City, Etihad Rail, and RTA standards, regulations, and approval processes.
• Experience in Civil Engineering projects involving roads, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with structural works on road and infrastructure projects.
• Well-versed with RTA requirements for Traffic Diversion Plans, Traffic Management Plans (TMP), and road closures and detours.
• Strong understanding of UAE HSE legislation, risk assessments, incident investigations, and permit-to-work systems.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Previous experience with a consultancy is mandatory.

Responsibilities
