Job summary

Onepoint Consultants in the UAE is seeking an experienced HSE professional to develop and implement policies aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, and GCC regulations. You will conduct site inspections, risk assessments, audits, and incidents investigations across multiple locations.

This role requires NEBOSH IGC and strong GCC experience with ability to drive improvements. You will travel to project sites in UAE, Oman and Qatar, liaise with regulators and clients, deliver trainings, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Mechanical, Industrial, or related discipline.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent mandatory.
• 7+ years HSE experience, GCC exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, audits and compliance checks.
• Ensure HSE compliance for material handling, conveyors, and surface protection.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents with root cause analysis.
• Conduct HSE training, toolbox talks, inductions, and awareness programs.
• Support projects with JSA, PTW, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments.
• Liaise with clients, regulators, and internal teams on permits and certifications.
• Maintain HSE records, KPIs, and reports including LTIFR and TRIR.
• Drive safety improvements across UAE, Oman, and Qatar; travel regularly.

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and management systems in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and GCC regulatory requirements.


• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, safety audits, and compliance checks across manufacturing, workshops, and project/customer sites.


• Ensure HSE compliance for material handling, conveyor systems, and surface protection/rubber lining operations.


• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.


• Conduct HSE training, toolbox talks, inductions, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.


• Support projects with JSA, PTW, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments (MS/RA).


• Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, and internal teams on HSE compliance, permits, and certifications.


• Maintain HSE records, statistics, KPIs, and management reports including LTIFR and TRIR.


• Drive behavior-based safety and continuous improvement initiatives across UAE, Oman, and Qatar.


• Travel regularly to operational and project sites across the three countries.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering Mechanical, Industrial, or related discipline.


• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent Mandatory.


• 68 years of HSE experience, preferably in industrial/manufacturing environments within the GCC.


• Experience with reputed organizations such as EGA, Emirates Steel Arkan, ADNOC, or similar heavy industrial companies is highly preferred.


• Strong knowledge of material handling, conveyors, manufacturing, surface protection/rubber lining environments.


• Good understanding of GCC HSE regulations, PTW systems, and international HSE standards.


• Valid UAE Driving License preferred.


• Strong risk assessment, analytical, communication, and training skills.


• Proficiency in MS Office and HSE reporting systems.


• Ability to work independently and manage HSE activities across multiple countries.
