Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor for InterContinental Dubai Marina Hotel & Residences in Dubai. The role leads a team of Room Attendants, ensures high cleanliness standards, and maintains daily operations to deliver a VIP guest experience in a luxury five-star setting.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a five-star hotel housekeeping supervisory role, strong English skills, and proficiency with Opera PMS and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Beyond cleanliness, you’ll provide an experience. Consistently offer professional, warm, and engaging service, ensuring every guest feels like a VIP from the moment they arrive.
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring that the housekeeping department runs seamlessly. From attention to detail to anticipating guest needs, you’ll guarantee the highest service standards.
• Handle guest concerns swiftly and professionally, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
• Assist in creating efficient departmental schedules that not only meet operational demands but also promote team well-being.
• Actively participate in daily briefings, warm-up sessions, and departmental meetings. You’ll also keep detailed records of their progress and development.
• Ensure the team is always prepared and aware of the day’s priorities, so no detail is overlooked.
• Enforce and uphold the hotel’s policies and procedures to ensure cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards never slip.
• Identify and report any maintenance needs to the Engineering department, ensuring that issues are swiftly addressed without affecting the guest experience.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies, ensuring both guests and colleagues enjoy a safe, healthy, and pristine environment.
• Conduct daily inspections of checkout rooms and occupied rooms, overseeing 4-5 Room Attendants working independently or as part of a team.
• Carry out daily deep-cleaning audits for each Room Attendant in accordance with IHG standards and procedures.
• Maintain flexibility to work across morning, afternoon/evening, and night shifts as required.
• Conduct additional weekly focused inspections to ensure consistent cleanliness and quality standards.
• Inspect PPM (Planned Preventive Maintenance) rooms, identify and report any snags, and ensure deep-cleaning requirements are completed to the required standard.
• Take responsibility for the cleanliness and overall presentation of lift landings, elevator doors, guest corridors, chute rooms, and garbage rooms within the assigned floor.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a housekeeping supervisor role at a five-star hotel.
• Strong English language skills, both written and spoken.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Opera PMS.
• A sharp eye for detail and perfection in every task.
• Be comfortable with rotational shifts
• Ability to motivate, guide, and inspire a high-performing team.
