As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:

• Lead and supervise the housekeeping team to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to housekeeping staff, ensuring work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Inspect rooms and common areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
• Train and guide new housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and hotel policies.
• Ensure the proper use of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies, maintaining inventory levels.
• Address and resolve guest complaints or issues related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of all hotel areas, including restrooms, lobbies, and corridors.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including maintaining proper sanitation standards.
• Report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns to the maintenance department.
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., front desk, maintenance) to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations of housekeeping staff and provide constructive feedback.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:

• Proven experience in housekeeping or hospitality, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, supplies, and equipment.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to train and motivate a team to meet high standards.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle guest complaints and issues with professionalism.
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality management is a plus.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, if needed.
• Previous experience in a hotel or large facility is preferred.
