The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to follow health, safety, and sanitation standards. 1-2 years of prior housekeeping experience, preferably in hospitality, is preferred, with UAE/GCC experience considered an advantage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years of housekeeping or cleaning experience.
• Prior UAE/GCC experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties: sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, polishing surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms; restock soap, towels, and toilet paper.
• Empty trash and manage waste segregation and disposal.
• Maintain dining areas, lobbies, corridors and staff break rooms.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals; report reorders.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely (vacuum, floor polisher).
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisor.
• Follow COSHH guidelines for safe storage and use of chemicals.
• Assist with deep cleaning or event setups/breakdowns as required.

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness hygiene and aesthetic appearance of the facility including dining areas restrooms offices and common spaces This role ensures a safe welcoming and spotless environment for all guests and staff The attendant will perform routine cleaning tasks manage waste disposal monitor cleaning supplies and strictly adhere to health safety and sanitation standards

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping mopping dusting vacuuming and polishing surfaces across all assigned areas
• Clean and sanitize restrooms frequently restocking essential supplies such as soap paper towels and toilet tissue
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper waste segregation and disposal in designated areas
• Maintain the cleanliness of dining areas lobbies corridors and staff break rooms
• Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals reporting to management when reordering is necessary
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment e.g vacuums floor polishers safely and properly
• Report any maintenance issues damages or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately
• Follow strict health safety and hygiene guidelines ensuring the safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals COSHH
• Assist with deep cleaning projects or special event setups and breakdowns as required

Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred 1 2 years of previous experience in housekeeping janitorial or cleaning roles preferably within the hospitality hotel or food and beverage industry Prior experience in the UAE or GCC region is an advantage

• Strong attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness Good physical stamina and mobility with the ability to stand bend and lift heavy items for extended periods Familiarity with cleaning chemicals proper mixing ratios and safe handling practices Good time management skills and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision Basic communication skills and a polite professional attitude when interacting with guests and staff
