Job summary

JW Marriott Marquis Dubai is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join the Engineering & Facilities team. The candidate will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment, including boilers, pumps, and water features, ensuring safe, reliable operation in a luxury hotel environment.

Preferred is a minimum 3 years of related experience; reading blueprints and following mechanical codes and safety procedures is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
• Ability to read blueprints / schematics and install, test and troubleshoot mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of Mechanical Code and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment such as boilers, pumps, and water features.
• Test water quality and adjust systems to prevent corrosion and deposits.
• Activate valves and control fuel flow to burners, ensuring safe operation.
• Carry out minor plumbing and mechanical works for systems and equipment as needed.
• Monitor equipment for leaks, malfunctions, and safety, ensuring efficient operation.
