Job summary

Fairmont Ajman is seeking a Kitchen/Laundry Technician to install, maintain and repair kitchen and laundry equipment across the hotel, ensuring safe, efficient operation and minimal downtime.

You will follow preventive maintenance schedules, document faults and repairs, cooperate with Kitchen, Stewarding, Housekeeping and Laundry teams, and uphold safety standards in a multicultural hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, HVAC.
• Experience in hotel engineering, kitchen or laundry equipment preferred.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and equipment manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating and refrigeration equipment as applicable.
• Maintain ovens, combi ovens, cooking ranges, dishwashers, refrigerators and other back-of-house equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests from Kitchen, Stewarding, Housekeeping and Laundry.
• Ensure repaired equipment is tested and safe before return to its department.
