We are looking to hire an experienced female Homeroom Teacher (ADEK Approved) for a reputable school in Al Ain. A Homeroom Teacher is responsible for overseeing the daily academic, emotional, and social development of a class of students. The role involves delivering core curriculum subjects, managing classroom behavior, and serving as a key point of contact between students, parents, and the school. Homeroom teachers also play a crucial role in fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring that students thrive both academically and personally.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood / Primary Education (QFE7)
- Bachelor's Degree in another subject, Valid Teaching License in Early Childhood / Primary Education, or QFE6 (Diploma) in Early Childhood / Primary Education
- QFE7 Bachelor's Degree in another subject, Valid Teaching License, or QFE6 (Diploma) Teaching Qualification, 3 years of Teaching experience in Early Childhood / Primary Education
Responsibilities:
- Planning: Plan and prepare courses, schemes of work, and individual lessons appropriate to the needs, interests, experience, and existing knowledge of the pupils in one's class.
- Setting and Supervising Work by Pupils: Teach a class or classes, sets, groups, or individual pupils, and set tasks to be undertaken both at school and elsewhere.
- Marking and Recording: Mark and assess pupils' work and record their development, progress, and attainment.
- Discipline And Relationships: Take responsibility for maintaining good order, discipline, and respect for others among the pupils, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Communication with Parents: Build and maintain co-operative relationships with parents and communicate with them on pupils' learning and progress.
- The Classroom: Maintain an attractive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment and contribute to displays in the school as a whole.
- Overall Policy and Review: Comply with all school policies and guidelines and take part in whole-school reviews of policy and aims.
- Reports: Provide or contribute to oral and written assessments, reports, and references relating to the development and learning of individual pupils and groups of pupils.
- Review: Evaluate and review one's own teaching methods, materials, and schemes of work and make changes as appropriate.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with current educational thinking and practices.
- Public Relations: Establish and maintain co-operative relationships with other staff members, exhibit appropriate professional conduct and dress, and communicate positive aspects of the school to the public.
