Job summary

Menakart.com is seeking a proactive Buyer Assistant to support the Home & Perfumes category in Dubai. You will help drive product selection, supplier relationships, pricing competitiveness, inventory availability, and category growth.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years of buying, merchandising, retail, or e-commerce experience. You will onboard suppliers, manage listings and pricing, monitor stock, and work with logistics and marketing to achieve sales and margin targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in buying, merchandising, retail, or e-commerce.
• Interest in Home, Fragrances, Perfumes, and lifestyle product trends.
• Strong negotiation, supplier coordination, and communication skills.
• Good understanding of pricing, margins, promotions, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Excel and comfort working with e-commerce product-upload systems.
• Organised, detail-oriented, commercially minded, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Onboard suppliers, negotiate favourable margins, and ensure compliance with brand and return policies.
• Manage product listings, pricing, availability, and weekly SKU updates with the merchandising team.
• Maintain and refresh the Top 100 SKUs, while introducing new products and sub-categories.
• Monitor orders and coordinate procurement, supplier follow-ups, deliveries, and stock with logistics.
• Conduct market visits to identify trends, competitive pricing, and new opportunities in Home & Perfumes.
• Work with marketing on promotions to achieve sales and margin targets.
• Handle returns, refunds, supplier returns, and product liquidation efficiently.
• Support other departments as required and report operational issues to the line manager.
