Job summary

Enova by Veolia in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced HSEQ professional to implement and manage health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements across healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with DoH guidelines and HTM standards. The role promotes safe working conditions, infection prevention, and continuous improvement within facilities management operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 7 years total experience in HSEQ, occupational health and safety, or environmental management.
• At least 3 years of total experience in healthcare facilities.
• Experience with risk assessments, safety inspections, audits, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSEQ policies, procedures, and management systems across healthcare facilities.
• Conduct routine site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety, environmental, quality, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
• Monitor HTM guidance including HTM 05 series for fire safety and HTM 04-01 for water hygiene.
• Support infection prevention and control measures during maintenance, construction, and refurbishment activities.
• Review method statements, risk assessments, permits to work, and safe systems of work before activities commence.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, and environmental events with corrective actions.
• Monitor contractor compliance with HSEQ requirements and site procedures.
• Deliver HSEQ inductions, toolbox talks, awareness sessions, and safety briefings to staff and contractors.
• Monitor waste management, hazardous materials handling, chemical storage, and environmental protection practices.
• Support emergency preparedness, fire safety drills, evacuation exercises, and incident response arrangements.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure safe practices around medical gas, electrical, ventilation, water, fire protection, and lifts.
• Maintain HSEQ records, inspection reports, incident logs, training records, audit findings, and corrective actions.
• Assist with audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance reporting with timely closure of findings.
• Promote a positive HSEQ culture through continuous improvement and engagement with staff and healthcare stakeholders.
