Job summary

Enova by Veolia in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, water systems, and related equipment in healthcare facilities.

You will coordinate with clinical teams, infection prevention personnel, and specialists to minimise disruption, supervise contractors, review drawings and permits, and ensure compliance with HTM/DoH guidelines, safety, and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university; licensed/approved by the Ministry of Education.
• Total experience: 7 years in mechanical engineering, maintenance or facilities management.
• At least 3 years of experience in healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC systems, chillers, pumps, boilers, plumbing, drainage, and other mechanical equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting to identify faults and prevent failures.
• Ensure mechanical systems operate safely and efficiently in healthcare settings with approved maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with clinical teams, infection prevention, and specialist engineers to minimise disruption.
• Review drawings, risk assessments, permits to work to ensure safety and compliance.
• Supervise contractors and service providers to ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance.
