Job summary

Gender: Any Candidate Nationality: Any Job Type: Full-time Role Context Based at the HealthHub Corporate Office in Dubai Festival City, this position advances the organization from retrospective reporting toward predictive and prescriptive healthcare analytics. The Data Scientist will work with clinicians, medical directors, operations, finance, information technology, health informatics and compliance teams. The role requires personal ownership of model development, validation, explainability and translation into healthcare workflows rather than dashboard-only reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, train, test and evaluate machine-learning models for clinical and operational healthcare use cases.
  • Develop prediction solutions for patient risk, clinical outcomes, utilization and hospital readmission.
  • Apply advanced analytics to claims, revenue-cycle performance and care-pathway optimization.
  • Work with electronic health records, pharmacy, laboratory, claims and patient-activity data.
  • Combine data from clinical, financial and operational systems into analysis-ready datasets.
  • Use advanced SQL to create patient cohorts, longitudinal records and complex data extracts.
  • Perform joins, window functions, feature engineering and systematic data-quality checks.
  • Select appropriate statistical or machine-learning techniques for each healthcare problem.
  • Apply methods such as logistic regression, survival analysis, classification and clustering.
  • Develop ensemble models using random forest, XGBoost and other suitable algorithms.
  • Define training, validation and testing approaches that reduce bias and data leakage.
  • Measure model performance through AUC, precision, recall, F1 score, sensitivity and specificity.
  • Evaluate calibration and confirm whether predictions remain reliable across relevant patient groups.
  • Apply SHAP, LIME or comparable methods to explain model behavior and individual predictions.
  • Collaborate with clinicians to assess the practical and clinical relevance of model outputs.
  • Translate validated insights into decision-support processes and operational workflows.
  • Work with ICD-10, ICD-11, CPT, SNOMED CT, LOINC, HL7 and FHIR data concepts.
  • Support healthcare artificial intelligence, data-governance and clinical decision-support initiatives.
  • Protect patient privacy and comply with ethical artificial-intelligence and data-residency requirements.
  • Document assumptions, features, limitations, evaluation findings and model versions.
  • Present complex analytical results clearly to clinical, operational, finance and executive audiences.
  • Use suitable visualization tools to communicate patterns, predictions and recommended actions.
  • Monitor implemented models and recommend recalibration or redevelopment when performance changes.

Ideal Profile Candidates must currently reside in the UAE and hold a bachelor 's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, biostatistics, biomedical engineering, health informatics or another relevant quantitative discipline. A master 's degree or PhD in a closely related field will be advantageous. Applicants should have two to five years of data-science experience, including at least two years working with healthcare datasets, clinical analytics, healthcare artificial intelligence, health informatics, health insurance or health technology. Demonstrable experience developing predictive models with Python or R and advanced SQL is essential. The strongest candidates will have worked in a hospital, clinic network, healthcare group, insurer or clinical analytics environment. Familiarity with DHA requirements, NABIDH, Malaffi, UAE data-residency rules or clinical decision-support systems will be particularly valuable. Dashboard development or descriptive reporting alone does not satisfy the modeling requirements of this role.
