Job summary

NMDC Group is seeking an HSE professional with a related diploma to lead the health, safety and environmental programs on site. You will ensure adherence to policies, promote environmental awareness, and conduct daily inspections of work areas, equipment and facilities to maintain NMDC Group HSE standards.

You will verify requirements for each scope, coordinate inductions, contribute to incident investigations, and prepare weekly and monthly site HSE reports.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a related field or equivalent.
• Holder of NEBOSH / IOSH Diploma or an equivalent internationally recognised HSE certification is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all employees consistently implement the Company’s HSE policies and procedures.
• Promote HSE awareness to field personnel to develop Environmental awareness.
• Conduct onsite inspection and daily tours to ensure work practices comply with NMDC Group’s HSE Manual and project-specific HSE requirements.
• Identify and report Environmental Observation and LSR violation.
• Verify HSE requirements for each work scope and FRA control measures.
• Verify Sub-Contractors HSE performance and implementation of NMDC Group HSE standards.
• Carry out effective HSE induction programs for NMDC Group and subcontractors personnel; coordinate emergency drills to ensure preparedness.
• Participate in the investigation of accidents/incidents and near-misses.
• Monitor maintenance and inspection of emergency equipment; ensure availability and readiness.
• Participate in onsite HSE internal meetings as a toolbox talks facilitator.
• Prepare weekly and monthly site HSE reports and statistics for senior colleagues.
