Job summary

One&Only The Palm in Dubai is seeking a Restaurant Hostess to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless dining experience from arrival to seating. You will oversee reservations and seating flow, maintain guest engagement, and assist with VIP arrangements while upholding our brand standards and presenting impeccable service at the restaurant entrance.

This role requires 1–2 years in upscale five-star settings, excellent English, and a collaborative spirit

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in upscale 5-star hotel or resort restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of food & beverage service standards.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal skills, and ability to engage a high-profile clientele.
• Fluent English required; additional language is a plus.

With the global growth of our brands, you will be an integral part of the Resort’s success, and your role goes beyond developing meaningful relationships with our guests and colleagues. As a Restaurant Hostess, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere while ensuring a seamless dining experience for every guest. You will oversee the reservation and seating flow, maintain excellent guest engagement, and ensure that service runs efficiently while adhering to our company’s core values. This role involves managing reservations, coordinating guest seating, supporting special events, and supervising the smooth day‑to‑day operations at the restaurant entrance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly as they arrive at the restaurant.


• Manage reservations, walk‑ins, and waiting lists efficiently.


• Escort guests to their tables and present menus.


• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and service flow.


• Maintain an organized and updated reservations system.


• Communicate guest preferences and special requests to the service and kitchen teams.


• Answer telephone inquiries regarding reservations, menu details, and restaurant policies.


• Support the service team during peak hours as needed.


• Ensure the hostess stand, entrance area, and menus are always clean and presentable.


• Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and promptly, escalating when necessary.


• Maintain excellent product knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and promotions.


• Assist in coordinating special events, group bookings, and VIP arrangements.


• Uphold company grooming standards and act as an ambassador for the restaurant’s brand.


• To assist with any other duties that are required by the member of the management team.

Requirements

A suitable candidate should have 1–2 years of experience in an upscale 5-star hotel or resort restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food & beverage service standards is essential. The candidate should possess excellent personal presentation, interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with a high‑profile and diverse clientele. She must be a dynamic team player, committed to delivering the highest level of guest service and creating a welcoming first impression. Excellent communication skills in English are required, and proficiency in an additional language will be highly regarded.
