Job summary

JGroup Holding in Dubai is seeking a hands-on Head of Software Development to design and deliver a new platform, from architecture through delivery. You will define the technical direction, build the engineering team, and collaborate with the founder on product strategy.

You will lead backend, frontend, and mobile engineers, own security and data privacy, and ensure compliance with UAE and Saudi PDPL while delivering scalable SaaS with billing and metering.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years leading teams.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis and messaging systems.
• Experience with AWS, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven track record building multi-tenant SaaS with billing and metering.
• Ability to deliver with small teams and clear communication in English.
• Arabic is an advantage.

JGroup is a Dubai-based holding company building technology ventures across advertising, fintech and business communications in the MENA region.

We’re looking for a hands‑on technical leader to build a new platform from architecture through to delivery. You’ll set the technical direction, build the engineering team and work closely with the founder on product and roadmap decisions.

Key responsibilities:

• Architect and develop a scalable, multi-tenant SaaS platform.
• Build high-volume, event-driven systems targeting 99.9% uptime.
• Lead integrations with Meta, Google, CRMs, e-commerce platforms and MENA payment providers.
• Develop usage-based billing and metering capabilities.

What we’re looking for:

• A track record of delivering products efficiently with small teams.
• Strong English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
• Experience in CPaaS, SaaS, API‑first businesses, Meta platform APIs or LLM‑powered products is a plus.
