Job summary

DP World in Dubai seeks an Operations Manager / BU Head to oversee ship management, safety, and operational delivery for the DPW Express RoRo-Pax vessel and tugs. You will lead the local team, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize costs across the fleet.

The role requires a Master Mariner with COP, strong financial literacy, and proven leadership. Occasional international travel may be required to support global operations.

Qualifications

• 1st Class Master Mariner with Certificate of Competency.
• Management degree would be a preference.
• Fluency in English essential; Arabic/French/Spanish advantageous.
• Basic literacy in financial management, P&L, budgeting is essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ship management and safety across the fleet.
• Manage budgets, EBITDA targets, and financial controls.
• Lead and develop local teams; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop chartering strategies and grow spot market business.
