Job description

Lead the development and implementation of strategic public relations and communications initiatives to enhance Dubai's brand image and reputation in the assigned region. Drive engagement with key stakeholders including partners, media, and consumers while ensuring alignment with the organization's overall goals and objectives.

Manage agency relationships, host international media FAM trips, and in-market events. Drive strategic content partnerships and broadcast shoots to elevate Dubai's presence and messaging in the market, ultimately driving visitation from the region and providing a competitive advantage for Dubai.

Strategic Communication:
  1. Lead and oversee the development of a public relations and communications strategy for each market within the region, aligned with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) corporate strategic objectives.
  2. Act as a subject matter expert for public relations and communication strategies for the region, providing guidance on impactful activities, partners, target audiences, and overall communication plans.
  3. Build a localized messaging framework and strategic communication pillars per market; drive the development and execution of PR and communication activities to ensure Dubai's image in international media aligns with the strategic approach.
  4. Ensure accurate PR market budget oversight, optimize resources, and identify clear priorities to maximize impact.
  5. Lead alignment with the market planning team and senior management.
  6. Lead the communications roadmap, including PR projects, timelines, and content, aligned with travel behaviors and booking lead times.
Regional Communication Lead:
  1. Oversee market research from PR team members and finalize yearly strategic plans with 360 leads.
  2. Ensure execution of the strategic plan and oversee adjustments based on market status.
  3. Coordinate with media, social influence, and consumer advocacy teams per market, leveraging and amplifying opportunities.
  4. Coordinate with Business Marketing teams as needed (leisure, corporate communications, business).
Relationship Building with Partners Locally and In-market:
  1. Build and nurture relationships with DET partners in Dubai and the region throughout the year, leveraging PR opportunities for target markets.
  2. Build and nurture relationships with top-tier media in the region, identifying key media influencers and opinion leaders.
  3. Oversee the organization of market visits and PR roadshows.
