Overview

The client is a UK-regulated bank that focuses primarily on foreign exchange and cross-border payments.

Responsibilities

The individual will play a pivotal role in overseeing technology integration, client onboarding, client servicing, and the first line of risk management, while ensuring compliance with UAE regulatory standards and alignment with group policies. The role is a member of the Exec Committee.

The Head of Operations is responsible for ensuring and managing a single life-cycle, performance and outsourced delivery of the technology estate and operations, onboarding and first line risk management.

  • Operational leadership and oversight of outsourced services.
  • Collaborate with the CTO to align on technology platforms, integration plans, and cyber-resilience.
  • Oversee client onboarding and servicing.
  • Ensure governance and regulatory requirements and support recruitment and training for the entity.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Strong technical knowledge, which is shared and imparted to junior colleagues.
  • Keeps up to date with the latest technical advancements and recognises the need for continuous development of personal technical and specialist knowledge.
  • Maintains strong customer relationships, promoting and developing further value to the business by recognising the needs of the customer.
  • Shows initiative, imagination, and the drive to complete practical solutions. Works with senior management to drive progress and to implement innovative solutions.
  • Can negotiate confidentially with internal and external colleagues / clients at all levels. Works with others to lead such negotiations, supporting senior management.
  • Follows all aspects of 'best practice' risk management. Proactively identifies and mitigates potential issues, highlighting any concerns to the appropriate department or person and supporting the implementation of appropriate frameworks and procedures to manage risk.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and written, to deliver clarity, transparency, and direction across the business.
