The Head of Music
The Head of Music will be responsible for designing and implementing a diverse, engaging music program that aligns with the club’s ambience, enhances member satisfaction, and contributes to the overall atmosphere of exclusivity and sophistication. He/She will deliver the highest possible standards of service and contentment and be proactive in maintaining and driving revenue and brand image.
What You Will Do
- Shape and develop the overall music and audio experience across all venues of The Arts Club Dubai, ensuring a diverse, innovative, and high‑quality entertainment offering.
- Curate and maintain music programming and playlists for dining areas, lounges, member spaces, and special events, ensuring alignment with the club’s brand and atmosphere.
- Source, select, and book artists, bands, DJs, and other performers, while staying informed of emerging music trends and talent.
- Plan, organize, and oversee live music performances, DJ sets, and entertainment activations across the club.
- Collaborate with the Cultural Programming and Marketing teams to develop themed music events and experiences that enhance member engagement and attract new audiences.
- Curate entertainment lineups for member events and seasonal activations, including occasions such as Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving, and other special club events.
- Negotiate artist contracts, manage performer relationships, and ensure all entertainment aligns with the club’s standards and expectations.
- Coordinate artist logistics, including contracting, advancing, travel arrangements, accommodation, and ground transportation.
- Manage and oversee entertainment permit applications, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and licensing requirements.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and performance of sound systems and audiovisual equipment throughout the club.
- Work closely with the AV Supervisor to ensure optimal sound quality and seamless technical execution for events and daily operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve sound and audiovisual issues as required to maintain operational excellence.
- Support club activations and departmental initiatives by providing suitable entertainment solutions that enhance the overall member experience.
- Gather and assess member feedback regarding music and entertainment preferences, incorporating insights into future programming.
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere through thoughtfully curated music and entertainment experiences.
- Collaborate with internal departments to integrate music into dining experiences, wellness activities, private events, and other club functions.
- Develop and manage the music department budget, including artist fees, music licensing, equipment purchases, maintenance, and event‑related expenses.
- Monitor spending and identify opportunities to optimise costs while maintaining the quality and integrity of the entertainment program.
- Ensure all music and entertainment activities contribute to delivering a world‑class member experience and support the club’s overall business objectives.
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in music programming, entertainment management, artist booking, or cultural programming within luxury hospitality, private members’ clubs, lifestyle venues, or the entertainment industry.
- Proven experience curating and delivering live music programmes, DJ lineups, entertainment activations, and member‑focused events.
- Strong network within the music and entertainment industry, including artists, DJs, agents, promoters, and production partners.
- Demonstrated experience in talent sourcing, contract negotiation, artist relations, and event management.
- Strong understanding of music trends, audience engagement, and venue‑based entertainment programming.
- Sound knowledge of entertainment operations, including permits, compliance, audiovisual systems, and live event production.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and external partners.
- Strong organisational, project management, and budgeting skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Commercially minded, creative, and passionate about delivering exceptional music and cultural experiences.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays in line with business and event requirements.
