Job summary

Dispatch is an early-stage B2B SaaS company building legal and operational infrastructure for growth.

We are seeking a highly skilled in-house attorney to own the commercial contracting function, lead enterprise negotiations, and advise on privacy, data residency, and AI-related restrictions. The role requires a JD with active US bar and 3+ years in-house experience within fast-growing tech companies.

Qualifications

• JD from a top law school and active US bar membership.
• 5–15 years of legal experience, with at least 3 years in-house.
• Direct experience negotiating B2B SaaS contracts and DPAs.
• Experience with early-stage companies (Series C or earlier).
• Strong business judgment and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Own drafting, reviewing, and negotiating MSAs, order forms, and enterprise agreements.
• Lead negotiations with enterprise customers and their legal, procurement, and privacy teams.
• Draft and negotiate data processing agreements, privacy terms, and security addenda.
• Advise on privacy, data residency, and AI-related restrictions.
• Provide legal support on routine employment matters and vendor agreements.
• Manage and scope outside counsel for specialized matters.

• Lead negotiations with sophisticated enterprise customers and their legal, procurement, and privacy teams
• Draft and negotiate data processing agreements, privacy terms, and security addenda
• Advise on privacy, data residency, and AI-related restrictions
• Provide practical legal support on routine employment matters and vendor agreements
• Manage and scope outside counsel for specialized matters

Requirements

• JD from a top law school and active U.S. bar membership
• 5-15 years of legal experience with at least 3 years in-house
• Direct experience negotiating B2B SaaS commercial contracts and DPAs
• Experience with early-stage (Series C or earlier) companies
• Strong business judgment and ability to operate independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience serving as a company's first legal hire
• Experience building contract templates and negotiation playbooks from the ground up
• Working knowledge of the financial services ecosystem
• Experience supporting SOC 2 or ISO 27001 compliance programs
• Experience implementing contract lifecycle management software
