Job summary

Chillbase Ltd is seeking a Head of Gameplay Development in Dubai to own the technical direction of OneState’s Gameplay Development and lead a 60+ person team. You will set the vision for gameplay, make high-impact architectural decisions, and steer the engineering culture to drive live-game success.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong leadership, Unity expertise, and a history of delivering scalable gameplay systems while collaborating across Design, Product, Art, and QA.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in game development with significant leadership.
• Deep hands-on Unity knowledge and Unity-based architecture understanding.
• Experience as a Technical Director or equivalent leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead large gameplay or engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Gameplay Development function at OneState, overseeing 60+ specialists.
• Own and evolve the technical vision for gameplay development with leadership partners.
• Drive architectural decisions shaping long-term product evolution.
• Improve performance, stability, and code quality of gameplay systems.
• Shape team structure, ownership and engineering standards as the department grows.
• Collaborate with Game Design, Product, Art, QA to achieve product goals.
