Job summary

Favia in Dubai seeks an experienced Head of Finance & Custody to own financial reporting and client asset safeguarding for its VARA-regulated VASP entity. You will bridge Group Finance with local operations, building a robust control environment for a newly licensed entity across VARA rules.

The role requires tenacious, control-focused finance leadership capable of managing both regulatory reporting and custody obligations in a dynamic regulatory setting.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with global regulatory reporting exposure.
• Experience in IFRS/US GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience in safeguarding, custody, or client assets environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounts for the VARA VASP entity.
• Prepare VARA regulatory reporting packs and liaise with VARA on finance information requests.
• Forecasts and budgets for the local entity in collaboration with the Group FP&A team.
• Lead statutory audit coordination with Group Financial Control.
• Develop and maintain the finance function's control environment and risk register.
• Oversee client asset safeguarding procedures and daily reconciliations of client money and VAs.
