Dubai AML/CFT Compliance Analyst (Blockchain & VARA)

Job summary

DVA is building regulated rails for institutional digital asset markets in Dubai. We seek a Compliance Analyst to join the AML/CFT operation, working with the CO/MLRO to spot anomalies, trace on-chain activity, and build defensible cases for VARA and UAE FIU.

You will review onboarding files, investigate alerts, draft STRs/SARs, and ensure compliance with sanctions and Travel Rule requirements. UAE residency is expected.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in AML/CFT or financial crime compliance
• Experience in UAE with goAML, VARA AML/CFT and Travel Rule requirements
• Fluency in English
• UAE residency or ability to relocate to Dubai

Responsibilities

• Review onboarding and KYC/KYB files, including enhanced due diligence on high-risk customers
• Investigate transaction monitoring and blockchain analytics alerts; trace funds on-chain
• Draft STRs/SARs for MLRO to file with UAE FIU via goAML
• Screen customers and transactions against UAE/UN sanctions lists
• Run VARA Travel Rule checks and monitor for transfers to avoid thresholds
• Carry out testing under the compliance monitoring plan and close findings
• Keep AML/CFT policies and registers audit-ready for VARA inspections
• Support regulatory reporting and requests from VARA and UAE authorities
