HQMena, a premier events and exhibitions company, is seeking a strategic Head of Finance to lead financial operations across its global events and business units in Dubai. The role demands 8–12 years of finance leadership, with 3+ years in a senior role, ideally within events, exhibitions, or financial services.

You will oversee planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and risk management to drive growth.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of progressive financial management experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience in events/exhibitions, media, or financial services is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics; CPA/CMA or MBA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and compliance.
• Hands-on experience with financial modelling, forecasting, and scenario planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the finance function including budgeting, forecasting, accounting, audit and financial reporting.
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with HQMena’s long-term goals and event-driven business model.
• Collaborate with Directors and departmental heads to support commercial decision-making and optimize revenue streams.
• Analyze financial data and provide accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs to senior management.
• Monitor financial performance by measuring results, initiating corrective actions and minimizing financial risk.
• Ensure compliance with international accounting standards, taxation laws and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee vendor contracts, sponsorships, event budgets and P&L for major expos (Forex, Money and Crypto Expo).
• Optimize working capital and cash flow to support operational and event needs.
• Collaborate with external auditors, legal teams and tax consultants as required.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team.

Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Finance to lead all financial operations across HQMena s global events and business units. The ideal candidate will have 8 12 years of finance leadership experience preferably within the events exhibitions or financial services industries. You will oversee financial planning and analysis budgeting forecasting reporting compliance and risk management ensuring fiscal efficiency and alignment with HQMena s ambitious growth plans.
