Job summary

Master Systems in the United Arab Emirates (Sharjah) seeks a Strategic Financial Leader to partner with the CEO and shareholders, shaping financial health visibility and growth-aligned strategies across regions.

You will lead M&A activities, reporting, controls, and treasury, while mentoring the finance team and ensuring VAT compliance and multi-jurisdictional reporting excellence.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or MBA with strong academic record.
• Professional certifications highly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial management experience, including at least 5 years in leadership.
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Demonstrable experience managing M&A activities, including due diligence, deal structuring and integration.
• Knowledge of UAE tax regulations, VAT compliance, and multi-jurisdictional reporting.
• Proficiency with ERP and accounting systems; strong Excel skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with shareholders and family businesses.

Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

• Partner with the CEO and shareholders on a daily basis to provide clear, accurate visibility into the financial health and performance of the company.

• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the Group's growth objectives across all operating regions.

• Provide proactive financial insights and recommendations to senior and middle management, supporting informed business decisions.

• Drive a cost-conscious culture across the organisation, identifying and implementing opportunities for efficiency and margin improvement.

• Present financial performance, forecasts, and risk assessments to shareholders and the Board.

• Mergers, Acquisitions & Corporate Transactions

• Lead the financial, accounting, and compliance workstreams for all M&A activity, including due diligence, deal structuring, integration planning, and post-merger financial management.

• Collaborate with legal counsel on the legal and regulatory aspects of acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate restructuring.

• Assess financial risks and opportunities of prospective transactions and present clear recommendations to leadership.

• Financial Reporting & Controls

• Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting.

• Maintain robust internal controls, ensuring the integrity of all financial data and reporting across the Group.

• Monitor and manage working capital, cash flow, and treasury functions to ensure liquidity and financial resilience.

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process and track performance against targets.

• Accounting Operations & Compliance

• Lead and develop the accounts team, overseeing all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and expense management.

• Manage the end-to-end invoicing and collections process, ensuring timely billing, efficient debtor management, and healthy cash conversion.

• Ensure full compliance with applicable accounting standards, UAE VAT regulations, and the regulatory requirements of all jurisdictions in which the Group operates.

• Coordinate and manage statutory audits, regulatory filings, and all compliance obligations.

• Liaise with banks, auditors, legal advisors, insurers, and government authorities on all finance-related matters.

• Team Leadership & Communication

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance function, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional excellence.

• Act as the primary finance business partner to operational and commercial teams, translating financial data into clear, actionable insights.

• Communicate effectively at all levels — from shareholders and the Board to operational staff — with clarity, confidence, and integrity.

• Champion transparency and proactive communication across all finance-related matters.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, with a strong academic record.

• Professional certifications are highly preferred, showcasing advanced financial knowledge.
