Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end operations of distribution centres and logistics functions.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Head – Logistics to lead end-to-end logistics and distribution centre operations for a leading FMCG/Retail business in GCC.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end operations of distribution centres and logistics functions, ensuring high service levels, efficiency, and operational discipline.
• Develop and execute logistics strategies aligned with business growth and customer requirements.
• Oversee warehouse operations, order fulfilment, picking, packing, dispatch, receiving, and inventory management.
• Manage transportation and distribution activities to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
• Drive warehouse productivity, inventory accuracy, space utilisation, and process optimisation.
• Establish and monitor KPIs covering OTIF, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, productivity, delivery performance, cost per case/order, and warehouse utilisation.
• Lead continuous improvement, automation, WMS optimisation, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, food safety, quality, regulatory, and company standards.
• Manage operating budgets, logistics costs, manpower planning, and capital expenditure.
• Build, coach, and lead high-performing logistics and warehouse teams.
• Partner closely with Sales, Commercial, Procurement, Finance, IT, and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Identify operational risks and implement robust contingency and business continuity plans.
• Drive a culture of accountability, customer service, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Candidate Profile

• 14 + years of progressive experience in logistics, warehousing, distribution, or supply chain operations, preferably within FMCG, retail, food & beverage, or a high-volume consumer business.
• Proven experience managing large-scale distribution centres and multi-site operations.
• Strong track record in warehouse and transportation optimisation, cost reduction, and service-level improvement.
• Experience with WMS/ERP systems, warehouse automation, inventory control, and data-driven operational management.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding, including budgeting and cost management.
• Demonstrated experience leading large multicultural teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline. A relevant professional qualification is an advantage.
