Job summary

Minor Hotels is seeking a Head Bartender for Dukes The Palm Dubai Hotel to elevate beverage service across a luxury property.

You will conduct training, supervise staff, design cocktail menus, and ensure health and safety compliance while delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced environment. The role requires 500+ keys luxury property experience, flexibility to work shifts, and strong organization.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as Head Bartender in a luxury setting.
• Experience in a large hotel (500+ keys) preferred.
• Ability to lead, train, and supervise bartending staff.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly training sessions on beverage pouring, cocktail mixing, bottle flaring, and upselling.
• Supervise and train bartending staff.
• Create and update cocktail menus.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage bar inventory and place orders as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve complaints.
• Monitor and control beverage costs.
• Ensure consistent quality of all drinks served.
• Promote a positive and professional work environment.
• Handle guest complaints directly or refer them to the Bar Manager.

We are currently looking for a Head Bartender

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly training sessions on beverage pouring practice, cocktail mixing, bottle flaring, and upselling
• Supervise and train bartending staff
• Create and update cocktail menus
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Manage bar inventory and place orders as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve complaints
• Monitor and control beverage costs
• Ensure consistent quality of all drinks served
• Promote a positive and professional work environment
• Handle guest complaints directly or refer them to the Bar Manager
• Perform all necessary tasks to service beverages according to the hotel standard

Experience

• Previous experience in a large hotel with at least 500 keys in a luxury property is required
• Pre-opening experience is an advantage
