Job Summary

The HDPE Plumbing Foreman will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plumbing installations on various construction projects. This role requires a highly skilled and experienced individual capable of leading a team, ensuring project specifications are met, maintaining safety standards, and delivering high-quality workmanship. The Foreman will serve as the primary on-site supervisor for HDPE plumbing crews, coordinating tasks, managing resources, and troubleshooting issues to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and coordinate the daily activities of HDPE plumbing crews, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules.
• Interpret and read blueprints, schematics, and specifications to accurately plan and execute HDPE pipeline installations, including butt fusion, electrofusion, and other joining techniques.
• Ensure all HDPE plumbing installations comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
• Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and procedures on site, conducting regular safety briefings and ensuring all team members use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Manage and optimize the use of materials, tools, and equipment, including HDPE fusion machines, ensuring they are properly maintained and operated.
• Conduct quality control inspections of all installed HDPE systems to identify and rectify any deficiencies, ensuring the integrity and performance of the plumbing infrastructure.
• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to junior plumbers and laborers, enhancing their skills in HDPE installation and safety practices.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and other trades to coordinate activities, report progress, and resolve any on-site challenges.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and material usage records, submitting them to project management as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex plumbing issues, including leaks, blockages, and system malfunctions, in a timely and effective manner.
• Participate in project planning meetings, contributing expertise on HDPE installation methods, potential challenges, and resource requirements.
