Job summary

AbbVie in the Gulf region seeks a Market Access Lead Gulf to shape and execute access strategies across Gulf countries, coordinating cross-functional teams to accelerate product access and optimize pricing and reimbursement.

The role requires strong leadership, HTA knowledge, and a track record delivering market access results, with deep understanding of payer systems and regulatory landscapes in Gulf markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Public Health Economics required.
• HTA, health economics and outcomes research, or statistics experience required.
• Market access experience across major therapeutic areas.
• Extensive knowledge of payer and provider mechanisms, funding flows, and legislation affecting market access of pharmaceutical products.
• Proven leadership and coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Align Gulf market access strategy with regional and global priorities and provide local market insights.
• Lead market access strategy across all therapeutic areas in the Gulf.
• Coordinate cross-functional market access capabilities to design innovative solutions and services.
• Define strategic actions in response to evolving market environment and optimize product access.
• Lead cross-functional task forces for new products pre-phase 3 to tailor development for better access and pricing.
• Collaborate with Medical and Government Affairs to build relationships with decision makers and leverage influence.
• Ensure collaboration with Region and Intercon, aligning local decisions with AbbVie’s global aims.
• Develop strategies for contracting and tendering challenges across Gulf countries with other functions.
• Align pricing and reimbursement with commercial strategies to meet affiliate plans.
