Job summary

Arada invites a Guest Service Agent to join our front desk team in Sharjah, delivering a warm, professional experience from arrival to departure. You will handle check-in/check-out, guest requests, inquiries, reservations, and coordinate with other departments to ensure high standards of guest satisfaction.

The role requires 1–2 years in a front desk or guest services role, a diploma/degree in Hotel Management or related field, strong English, and familiarity with hotel PMS systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Tourism, or related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience as Guest Service Agent/Front Desk/Receptionist or similar hotel role.
• Previous UAE or GCC hotel experience is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of front office operations and guest service procedures.
• Experience with hotel PMS systems is preferred.
• Good knowledge of English is required; additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner.
• Perform guest check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.
• Verify guest information, identification, payment details, and reservation details.
• Provide guests with information about hotel facilities, services, policies, and local attractions.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Reservations, F&B, and other departments to resolve guest requirements.
• Manage room assignments and ensure accurate updates in the hotel PMS.
• Process room charges, payments, deposits, refunds, and other transactions accurately.
• Handle cash and card transactions in accordance with hotel procedures.
• Assist guests with luggage, transportation arrangements, wake-up calls, and other services when required.
• Monitor room status and coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for arrival.
• Maintain accurate guest records and ensure confidentiality of guest information.
• Promote hotel facilities, services, and available packages where appropriate.
• Handle telephone calls, emails, and guest correspondence professionally.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area.
• Follow hotel standards, SOPs, health and safety requirements, and security procedures.
• Support the Front Office team during busy periods, peak check-in/check-out times, and special events.
• Prepare and maintain daily reports and shift handover information.
• Escalate complex guest issues to the Front Office Supervisor or Duty Manager when required.
