Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group in Dubai Festival City seeks a Guest Experience Specialist to warmly welcome guests and ensure a memorable stay. You will manage bookings, assist with upsells, handle transactions, and support guests with needs during their stay.

Ideal candidates have two years in front desk or guest services in a luxury property, are fluent in English, and comfortable with Opera. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within IHG.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and guest-service orientation.
• Fluent English with strong verbal and written skills.
• Experience in front desk or guest services preferred.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to handle cash and basic maths.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly to start a memorable experience.
• Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests.
• Take and manage guest bookings, upsell, and explain stay enhancements.
• Handle cash and credit transactions.
• Check guests in and out, issue keys, and manage safety deposit boxes.
• Record guest preferences and respond to requests and concerns.
• Serve as a trusted contact for guests and coordinate with management as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and wear protective gear when required.
• Maintain professional appearance and act as brand ambassador.
• Keep track of events and daily activity schedule.
• Assist with ad-hoc duties and inter-department communications.
• May assist with deep cleaning projects and turndown duties.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
