Job summary

Aloft is seeking a friendly host to greet guests, determine party size, and seat them at clean, available tables. You will pull out chairs, present current menus, and guide guests through the dining area with professional language.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean work areas, ensuring napkins and silverware are ready, monitoring dining room activity for safety and service quality, and reporting issues to the manager. High school diploma required; no prior experience necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No related work experience.
• No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and determine the number in their party.
• Seat guests by finding a clean, available table and presenting menus.
• Guide guests through the dining areas and provide needed assistance.
• Move and arrange tables, chairs and settings for groups with special needs.
• Ensure place settings include napkins and current silverware.
• Check menus to ensure they are current and wrinkle‑free.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and practice clean‑as‑you‑go.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating, service, safety and well‑being of guests.
• Follow all policies; report accidents and unsafe conditions to manager.
• Ensure uniform/professional appearance and confidentiality of information.
• Speak clearly and professionally; respond to guest concerns politely.
• Develop positive relationships with others and support team goals.
• Adhere to quality expectations; stand/sit/walk extended periods.
• Move and lift objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by Supervisors.
