Job summary

SO/ in Dubai is seeking an Assistant Waiter to support dining service operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience.

You will greet and seat guests, take and relay orders, assist with table settings, and collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery.

This role requires a friendly, customer-focused attitude, strong English communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong English communication is required.
• Knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus.
• Excellent customer service with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Stand for long periods and carry trays.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead waiter in serving food and beverages to guests.
• Set and clear tables with proper placement of cutlery, glassware and dishes.
• Greet and seat guests, provide menus and answer basic questions about menu items.
• Take and relay drink orders to the bar staff.
• Refill water glasses and attend to guest needs throughout the dining experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
• Process payments and handle cash transactions when necessary.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards.
• Participate in pre-shift meetings and ongoing training sessions.
