Job summary

Simone's Tutoring is seeking a Growth Mindset Tutor on a freelance/contract basis in Dubai. You will work one-on-one with children and teens to develop confidence, mindset, and practical strategies for overcoming obstacles through effort and reflection.

Sessions focus on lifelong habits that promote resilience, motivation and academic success, and you will collaborate with parents and other professionals while maintaining detailed records. Remote and home-based sessions are possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with children or adolescents.

About the Role

We are seeking an inspiring and passionate Growth Mindset Tutorto help children and teenagers develop the confidence, resilience, and mindset needed to embrace challenges, persevere through setbacks, and achieve their full potential. You will work one-on-one with learners to foster a positive attitude towards learning, encourage self-belief, and teach practical strategies for overcoming obstacles through effort, reflection, and continuous improvement.

Sessions focus on developing lifelong habits that promote resilience, motivation, independence, emotional wellbeing, and academic success.

Key Responsibilities

Assess each student's mindset, confidence levels, learning habits, and personal goals

Develop personalised growth mindset coaching programmes tailored to the learner's age and developmental needs

Teach students the principles of growth mindset, resilience, perseverance, and positive self-talk

Help learners build confidence by embracing challenges, learning from mistakes, and celebrating progress

Develop goal-setting, self-reflection, and problem-solving skills

Teach strategies for overcoming fear of failure, perfectionism, and self-doubt

Encourage independent learning, responsibility, and a lifelong love of learning

Use engaging activities, games, stories, real-life examples, and reflective exercises to reinforce learning

Support parents with practical strategies to encourage a growth mindset at home

Maintain professional session records and monitor student progress

Collaborate with tutors, educators, and other professionals where appropriate

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Child Development, Counselling, Coaching, or a related field

MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain

Minimum 2 years' experience working with children or adolescents in educational, coaching, or mentoring settings

Strong understanding of child development, motivation, and positive psychology

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in Positive Psychology, Growth Mindset, Life Coaching, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), or related field

Experience supporting students with anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or learning differences

Knowledge of motivational interviewing, resilience-building strategies, and executive functioning skills

Training in strengths-based or solution-focused coaching approaches

UAE Licensing Requirements

Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.

Compensation
Earn 65% commission on all completed and fully paid coaching sessions and coaching packages.
Commission is calculated after client payment has been received.
Payments are processed monthly.
Independent contractor position.
