Job summary

Gulf Agency Company seeks an experienced Group-IT Platform Engineer - Azure in Dubai to ensure reliability, availability, security, and performance of our hybrid infrastructure serving 6,000+ users globally.

The role focuses on Azure, networking, backup, DR, and security, with responsibilities spanning architecture, access control, and incident troubleshooting. Strong communication and leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Cloud platforms (IaaS, PaaS, NaaS)
• Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AI-200/300, Linux/Windows certs are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot enterprise Cloud platform.
• Manage Azure networking (VNets, subnets, NSGs, UDRs, VPN Gateway, VNet Peering).
• Implement and maintain IaaS, PaaS, load balancers and cloud networking.
• Establish platform and reference architecture, change management.
• Implement Entra ID authentication, authorization, SSO, B2C and RBAC.
• Implement data permissions and document-level security.
• Enable secure access to internal documents and knowledge sources.
• Implement security controls and support vulnerability remediation.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery (Azure Site Recovery).
• Conduct backup testing, recovery exercises, failover/failback, meet RPO/RTO.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents in Cloud environments.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, diagrams, standards, and procedures.

As our Group-IT Platform Engineer - Azure in Dubai, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, availability, security, and performance of our infrastructure platforms, supporting more than 6,000 users worldwide.

As our Group IT team continues to grow, we are looking for a skilled infrastructure professional to support, maintain, and enhance our hybrid infrastructure environments, including Microsoft Azure, networking, virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.

The Group IT team is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and operating enterprise infrastructure services across Microsoft Azure and hybrid environments.

Job requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage and troubleshoot enterprise Cloud platform.

Manage Azure networking, including VNets, subnets, NSGs, UDRs, VPN Gateway, and VNet Peering.

Implement and maintain IaaS, PaaS, Layer 7 & 4 load balancer and cloud networking

Establishing the platform and reference architecture, change management.

Implement Entra ID authentication, authorization, SSO, B2C and role-based access

Implement data permissions and document-level security

Implement secure access to internal documents and knowledge sources

Implement security controls and support vulnerability remediation.

Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions, including Azure Site Recovery (ASR).

Conduct backup testing, recovery exercises, failover/failback, and ensure recovery objectives are met.

Troubleshoot infrastructure incidents Cloud environments.

Maintain infrastructure documentation, architecture/network diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.

EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s / master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

7+ yrs experience in Cloud platform like IaaS, PaaS, NaaS

Software / certifications / licenses

Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AI-200/300, Linux/ windows certification and Development experience will be advantages.
