Job summary

Intercontinental Aviation Academy (IAA) is recruiting a Ground & Flight Instructor in Dubai to deliver high-quality ground school and flight training to ab-initio cadets, ensuring adherence to EASA standards. The role emphasizes safety, discipline, and excellence across theoretical and practical training.

The instructor will conduct pre/post-flight briefings, use aircraft, simulators, and ground school resources, track cadet progress, and contribute to ongoing improvements in teaching methods.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Deliver theoretical and practical instruction for EASA PPL and ATPL programs.

  • Carry out progress checks and assessments with constructive feedback.
  • Prioritize cadet safety and report incidents.

The Role

As a Ground & Flight Instructor, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of pilots. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality ground school and flight training to ab-initio cadets, ensuring they meet EASA standards while fostering a culture of safety, discipline, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver theoretical and practical instruction for EASA PPL and ATPL programs
  • Conduct pre- and post-flight briefings to ensure cadets are well-prepared and debriefed effectively
  • Provide training in aircraft, simulators, and ground school, ensuring cadets achieve prescribed standards
  • Carry out progress checks and assessments to track cadet performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Prioritize cadet safety and promptly report any incidents or operational concerns
  • Maintain accurate training records and generate performance reports
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of training methods, materials, and techniques
Qualifications & Experience

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Proven ab-initio flying instructional experience within a large ATO
  • Minimum 400 hrs total flight time, including:
  • 300 hrs instructional time
  • 100 hrs IFR time
  • Valid EASA / GCAA ( Preffered) or ICAO CPL/ATPL with Single Engine Class Rating
  • Valid Flight Instructor Rating with Night and Instrument privileges
  • Current Class 1 Medical Certificate (without restrictions)
  • ICAO English Proficiency Level 5 or above
  • Strong instructional techniques and ability to apply a variety of teaching methodologies
