Job summary

Air Arabia Academy is seeking an experienced flight instructor and examiner to deliver MPL, MPLI and IRI training in accordance with GCAA CAR FCL Rev.5. You will perform standardization checks, supervise instructors and mentor cadets, while ensuring compliance with ATO, AOC and regulatory standards.

The successful candidate will hold MPLI/IRI qualifications with GCAA examiner authorizations, be fluent in English, and have strong data analysis and training skills to support flight training

Qualifications

• Possess CPL/ATPL with IR and GCAA CAR FCL licensing and authorization.
• Authorized as a Flight Examiner and Flight Instructor Examiner by GCAA.
• Qualified MPLI and IRI; AOC instructional approval where applicable.
• Valid Class 1 Medical and English proficiency (ELP Level 5+).
• Knowledge of MPL, CBTA, UPRT and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MPL/MPLI, IR and IRI standardization and proficiency checks.
• Deliver MPL competency-based training and MPLI instruction.
• Deliver IRI training to Air Arabia Academy instructors.
• Act as deputy to the Chief Flight Instructor and supervise training plans.
• Ensure compliance with CAR FCL, ATO, AOC and regulatory standards.
• Update training materials and supervise cadet progress.
• Interview MPL candidates and manage suitability assessments.
• Coordinate with partner flying schools and monitor KPIs.

Job Purpose

Conduct flight instruction and examination in accordance with GCAA CAR FCL Rev.5. Exercise examiner and instructor privileges for MPL, IR, MPLI and IRI issuing, ensuring compliance with ATO, AOC and regulatory standards.

Conduct flight instruction and examination in accordance with GCAA CAR FCL Rev.5. Exercise examiner and instructor privileges for MPL, IR, MPLI and IRI issuing, ensuring compliance with ATO, AOC and regulatory standards.

Key Result Responsibilities

• Conduct standardization and proficiency checks for MPL, MPLI, IR, IRI and Flight Instructor candidates
• Exercise Flight Instructor Examiner privileges and ensure compliance with revalidation requirements
• Deliver MPL competency-based training (multi-crew) as an MPL Instructor (MPLI)
• Deliver Instrument Rating Instructor (IRI) training to Air Arabia Academy instructors
• Act as deputy to the Chief Flight Instructor (CFI)
• Establish and supervise a training plan and standardization programme for Flight Instructors
• Liaise with the management of partner flying schools
• Monitor student performance and manage at-risk cadets
• Conduct MPL candidate interviews and suitability assessments
• Update training materials and syllabi (CBTA/MPL/UPRT/AUPRT)
• Prepare pre-core briefings for cadets ahead of the flying phase
• Provide ongoing mentoring, coaching and professional support to cadets and instructors
• Document training and examination results as required

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)

• Valid CPL/ATPL with IR (GCAA CAR FCL)
• GCAA Flight Examiner authorization
• GCAA Flight Instructor Examiner authorization
• Qualified MPLI and IRI; AOC instructional approval (where applicable)
• Valid Class 1 Medical
• English Language Proficiency (ELP) Level 5 or higher
• AUPRT qualification (mandatory)
• Strong understanding of aviation regulations, procedures, and best practices for flight training.
• Successfully completed an MPL Instructor training course at a GCAA-approved ATO.
• In-depth knowledge of safety procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Fluent in English (Arabic and other languages are an advantage).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Knowledge of GCAA rules and regulations.

Work Experience
