Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking Junior Quantity Surveyors to join our team across UAE projects. The role focuses on measurement organisation, estimating, BOQ preparation, and cost control for hotel, residential, retail, and mixed-use developments.

You will engage in market rate updates, on-site verifications, and processing payments with strong attention to contractual detail. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Quantity Surveying or related field, with up to 2 years’ experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or related fields.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Computer literate in measurement using AutoCAD, MS Excel and MS Word.
• Knowledge of cost planning (concept to detailed design).
• Experience with BOQ in POMI & CESMM and contract document collation.
• Understanding of FDIC forms of contracts.
• Experience with cost estimation for hotels, residential, retail or mixed-use developments.
• Ability to compile unit rates for estimating.

Responsibilities

• Organise measurement tasks when preparing estimates / cost plans.
• Draft estimates / cost plans for review.
• Prepare BOQ including drafting preambles / general requirements.
• Undertake market research for updating unit rates.
• Verify on-site and off-site quantities for payments and variations.
• Check invoices for sub-packages on site and maintain payment records.
• Verify materials delivered and accepted for payment approval.
• Maintain records of sub-contractor agreements and payments.
• Verify final accounts and provide recommendations to client.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monthly cost reports.
• Estimate costs for alternative design solutions and variations.
