Job summary

Procer Worldwide Technical Services is recruiting for a client, a leading EPC Civil Infra Company in the UAE, to appoint a Governance and Compliance Manager in Abu Dhabi. The role reports to the Governance and Compliance Director and oversees programme implementation across the group.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in governance/compliance, 5+ years in leadership, and strong knowledge of UAE regulations, with fluent English and working knowledge of Arabic.

Qualifications

• Professional qualifications in governance, compliance, risk or audit (e.g. CG Institute, CIA)
• 8+ years experience in governance, compliance or risk roles
• 5+ years in a supervisory role
• Experience in Construction/EPC organizations
• Knowledge of UAE/GCC regulations
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Law or Business Administration or equivalent; Postgraduate preferred

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage the Group's governance and compliance programmes across operations
• Support the Governance and Compliance Director and management in meeting legal/regulatory obligations
• Prepare management and Board reports and liaise with regulators and auditors
• Conduct compliance investigations where required

Location: Abu Dhabi

Permanent Role

Reports to Governance and Compliance Director

Budget: AED 28k and AED 35k / month

ROLE Definition: To implement and manage the Group's governance, compliance programmes supporting the Governance and Compliance Director and management in meeting legal and regulatory obligations across the Group's operations.

Skills/Experience/ Qualification

1. Professional Certifications At least one recognised governance, compliance, risk or audit professional qualification (e.g. Chartered Governance Institute qualification, CIA or equivalent).
2. Min 8 years+ experience in governance, compliance, risk roles
3. Min 5 years in a supervisory role
4. Experience in Construction/ EPC organizations,
5. Knowledge of UAE / GCC regulations
6. Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration or equivalent. Preferred: Postgraduate qualification (e.g. LLM, MBA or equivalent).
7. Languages English - fluent, spoken and written (mandatory). Arabic - good working proficiency (preferred).

Main skills:

Hands-on experience implementing and monitoring compliance programmes (e.g. anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, conflicts of interest, whistleblowing, regulatory compliance)

Experience preparing management and Board reports, and liaising with regulators and auditors.
