First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) invites an experienced Trade Finance professional to join International Operations, handling processing/authorisation across multiple regions while ensuring strict compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

The role requires flexibility to cover UAE operations and support across operational shifts to meet business needs, delivering high-quality, timely, and error-free services to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any stream or related discipline.
• Understanding of ICC Rules, local laws and legal risks, trade documentations. Shipping terms and SOP of the bank.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Trade finance with hands-on experience in all trade finance products.
• Hands-on experience with Core Banking Solutions.
• Specialisation in own area of work and working knowledge of all Trade products.
• Conversant with MS Office and other analytical tools.
• Working knowledge of associated activities like IMB, Insurance Business, SWIFT, etc.
• Extensive knowledge of UCP, URC, ISBP and URDG.

Responsibilities

• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, SOPs and instructions to ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Demonstrate compliance with the organization’s values and ethics to support a value-driven culture.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices.
• Prepare timely and accurate statements and reports to meet department requirements, policies and quality standards.
• Process or authorise trade finance transactions within the delegation, ensuring quality, timeliness and cost-efficiency.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory guidelines and local/international sanctions; improve controls to mitigate risk.
• Adhere to FAB SOPs; propose changes in policies, procedures and systems as the industry evolves.
• Support line manager in employee satisfaction and training; ensure training is conducted.
• Support multi-desk and multi-function operations within department.
• Aim for zero operational loss, high accuracy, and adherence to SLA/TAT, audits and controls.
