Job summary

India Abroad is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Sharjah, UAE. The role involves planning domestic and international shipments, tracking progress, managing inventory, and coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and customers to resolve issues.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in logistics coordination, knowledge of shipping regulations, and strong communication in English. Hindi or other Indian languages are a plus; Indian nationality is preferred. Salary offered is AED 1100 per month.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics coordination or similar role.
• Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and logistics software (e.g. SAP).
• Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Hindi or other Indian languages is a plus).
• Indian nationality preferred (candidates from other nationalities will also be considered).

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate domestic and international shipments for timely delivery
• Track shipment progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
• Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock counts
• Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and customers to resolve any issues or delays
• Negotiate rates with carriers to ensure cost‑effective transportation solutions
• Monitor freight costs and implement cost‑saving strategies
• Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs clearance documents
• Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations
• Maintain accurate records of all shipments, inventory levels, and expenses
