Job summary

Bybit, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, is seeking a Licensing Lead to drive end-to-end licensing initiatives across global markets from Abu Dhabi. You will oversee regulatory engagement, prepare applications, coordinate with regulators and internal teams, and monitor evolving licensing requirements to support Bybit's expansion.

This role demands strong legal, analytical, and project-management skills with a focus on fintech and crypto licensing.

Qualifications

• Law degree and admission to practice in at least one jurisdiction preferred.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills with the ability to distill complex regulatory requirements.
• Excellent project management skills to manage multiple licensing workstreams across jurisdictions.
• Experience with licence applications or regulatory approvals (e.g., VASP, MPI, EMI, broker-dealer, or equivalent).
• Understanding of global licensing frameworks for virtual asset service providers and/or financial institutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the end-to-end licensing process for new market entries globally.
• Conduct jurisdictional assessments to evaluate licensing requirements and timelines.
• Prepare, draft, and coordinate licensing applications and supporting documentation.
• Liaise with regulators, external counsel, and government authorities across jurisdictions.
• Monitor global regulatory developments and licensing obligations.
• Maintain a global licensing tracker with status and deadlines.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather information on licensing requirements.
• Support post-licensing compliance and periodic reporting to regulators.
• Prepare internal briefings and status reports for senior leadership.
• Build and maintain relationships with external legal advisors.
