Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Geotechnical Inspector to support marine and infrastructure projects on-site. You will inspect earthworks, monitor excavation, backfilling, compaction, and ground improvements, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications.

Applicants should hold a Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Geology and have relevant UAE experience. Strong reporting and communication skills are required to coordinate with field teams and deliver quality

Qualifications

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.
Experience in geotechnical inspection and construction activities.
Knowledge of marine and infrastructure projects is preferred.
Good communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

Inspect geotechnical and earthworks activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specs and project requirements.
Monitor excavation, backfilling, compaction, grading, embankments and ground improvement works.
Witness field and laboratory testing including compaction, density and soil classification.
Coordinate with Surveyor, Contractor and Geotechnical Engineer to resolve issues.
Maintain inspection records, photos, test results and daily reports.
