Job summary

PXGEO is seeking an experienced Geophysicist to provide technical support across Sales, Marketing and Engineering Development. This role ensures exceptional data quality from tender receipt to delivery of final survey products, collaborating with internal teams to meet technical, commercial, and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, Geoscience, Physics, or related field.
• At least 5 years of extensive experience in geophysical operations including seismic acquisition and QC in onshore and offshore environments.
• Exposure to marine seismic survey methods and technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of modern geophysical acquisition technologies and processing methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide alternative and/or additional survey designs or layouts to meet clients' geophysical objectives.
• Review tender requests and provide technical responses including exceptions, area maps, shooting plan scenarios and source modelling.
• Prepare project time and motion estimations where required.
• Contribute to technical publications and initiatives to enhance company standing.
• Attend client meetings and develop relationships to promote the company's image of excellence.
• Prepare project start-up documentation including preplots and maps.
• Review end-of-job reports for accuracy and quality.
• Propose and implement best practices and new technologies in QC, offshore processing, and onshore support.
