PxGeo in Dubai is seeking a Technical Lead – Source to drive the development and enhancement of subsea source technology for marine seismic acquisition. You will shape the product portfolio, align with customer needs, and guide strategy across technical, operations, marketing, and commercial teams.

The role requires leading cross-functional efforts to define requirements, manage lifecycle stages, and deliver competitive, compliant solutions for offshore seismic operations worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field such as Engineering, Geophysics, Marine/Ocean Engineering or Physics.
• Proven track record in product management within energy or marine technology sectors.
• Experience in underwater seismic acquisition and related technologies is essential.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with ability to drive cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle plans for source technologies in marine seismic acquisition.
• Lead market research, customer engagement, and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.

What's the role?

Official job title is Technical Lead – Source and will be based in Dubai, UAE.

The position will be responsible for leading the development and enhancement of the company's source technology and solutions used in marine seismic acquisition. This individual will play a key role in shaping the product portfolio, ensuring that offerings continue to meet the evolving requirements of customers in the energy and marine sectors.

The role requires close collaboration with technical, operations, marketing, and commercial teams to define and execute product strategy, roadmap, positioning, and pricing for source-related technologies. This position will conduct market research, customer engagement activities, and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities, emerging industry trends, and areas for product innovation.

The successful candidate will drive the product lifecycle from concept and development through commercialization and ongoing optimization, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, customer expectations, and market demands. By leveraging customer feedback, market intelligence, and performance data, the role will continuously enhance product value, support business growth, and strengthen the company's leadership position within the marine geophysical industry.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle plans for source technologies and solutions used in marine seismic acquisition, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.
• Lead market research, customer engagement, and competitive analysis activities to identify market trends, emerging technologies, product gaps, and new business opportunities.
• Define product requirements, specifications, and value propositions by collaborating closely with technical, operations, and commercial stakeholders.
• Manage the product development lifecycle from concept and business case development through design, testing, commercialization, and end-of-life planning.
• Work with technical and operational teams to prioritize product features, enhancements, and technical improvements, ensuring timely delivery and successful implementation.
• Partner with sales, marketing, and business development teams to develop product positioning, pricing strategies, go-to-market plans, and customer-facing materials.
• Act as the voice of the customer, gathering and translating customer feedback, operational insights, and market intelligence into actionable product improvements and innovation initiatives.
• Monitor product performance, adoption, profitability, and customer satisfaction metrics, using data-driven insights to support continuous improvement and portfolio optimization.
• Support customer and commercial engagements by providing product expertise, technical presentations, and input for proposals, tenders, and strategic opportunities.
• Ensure products meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and operational expectations while maintaining a strong focus on quality, reliability, and safety.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, technology advancements, and differentiation within the marine geophysical market.
• Maintain awareness of industry developments, competitor activities, and customer challenges to ensure the company's source technology portfolio remains competitive and aligned with future market needs

Who are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Geophysics, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Physics, Business, or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the energy or marine technology sectors.
• Strong knowledge of underwater seismic acquisition and related technologies.
• Proven track record of managing the product lifecycle from concept to launch.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate ideas clearly.
• Results-driven mindset with strong project management skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed for client engagement and product demonstrations
• Possess certification to travel offshore on Company vessels.
• Ability to travel to vessels worldwide.
