Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a General Practitioner to evaluate and manage patients in Long-Term Care and ICU settings. You will perform ward rounds, develop treatment plans, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care.

Candidates should have an MBBS and DOH eligibility, with 2–3 years of GP experience; Longcare/ICU exposure is preferred. UAE-specific licensing and a UAE-based work setup are expected.

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making in critical care.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and teams.
  • Proficient use of EMR and medical software.

Responsibilities

  • Assess newly referred patients, review histories, and evaluate results.
  • Manage critically ill and long-term care patients in ICU and wards.
  • Conduct regular ward rounds and monitor clinical progress.
  • Develop and adjust individualized treatment and care plans.
  • Provide airway management and emergency stabilization when needed.
  • Coordinate escalation or transfer of care when deterioration occurs.
  • Collaborate with specialists, nurses, and allied staff.
  • Explain diagnoses and treatment plans to patients and families.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and mentor juniors.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with DoH/hospital standards.
  • Maintain knowledge via continuous education and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess newly referred patients, review medical histories, conduct examinations, and evaluate diagnostic results.
  • Manage critically ill, medically complex, and long-term care patients.
  • Conduct regular ward rounds and monitor patients’ clinical progress.
  • Develop and adjust individualized treatment and care plans as required.
  • Provide basic and advanced airway management and emergency stabilization when necessary.
  • Recognize deterioration and coordinate appropriate escalation or transfer of care.
  • Collaborate with specialists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.
  • Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, progress, and prognosis with patients and families.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide clinical guidance to junior staff.
  • Ensure accurate medical documentation and compliance with DoH and hospital standards.
  • Maintain professional knowledge through continuous education and training.

Education & Qualifications:

  • MBBS/Bachelor in Medicine
  • DOH eligibility/license
  • 2-3 years of work experience as a General Practitioner, experience in Longcare, ICU preferred
