Job summary

Malaak Homecare in Dubai seeks a General Practitioner to provide high‑quality home healthcare services. The role involves conducting home consultations, clinical assessments and care planning to support elderly patients and those with chronic conditions.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain accurate records and educate patients and families while ensuring ethical practice and patient safety. Travel across Dubai will be required.

Qualifications

  • Must hold DHA license or be eligible for DHA registration.
  • Experience in general medicine, chronic disease management, elderly care and emergency assessment.
  • Strong English communication; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel to patient homes across Dubai.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled and urgent home visits.
  • Perform clinical assessments, medication reviews and evaluations.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions within scope.
  • Prepare and update individualized care plans.
  • Order and review diagnostic tests and results.
  • Identify emergencies and arrange referrals or hospital transfer when needed.
  • Deliver patient-centered care with ethical and professional standards.
  • Coordinate with nurses, physiotherapists, specialists and hospitals.
  • Educate patients and families about treatment, medications and prevention.
  • Obtain informed consent and safeguard patient information.
  • Maintain complete electronic medical records and comply with protocols.
  • Report adverse events and safeguarding concerns per DHA requirements.
  • Participate in audits, quality improvement and CPD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Home Visits — Conduct scheduled and urgent home consultations.
  • Clinical Assessment — Perform examinations, medication reviews and comprehensive evaluations.
  • Diagnosis & Management — Manage acute and chronic medical conditions within scope.
  • Care Planning — Prepare and regularly update individualized care plans.
  • Investigations — Request diagnostic tests and review results.
  • Emergency Identification — Recognize deterioration and arrange referral or hospital transfer when needed.
  • Patient‑Centered Care — Deliver compassionate care while maintaining ethical and professional standards.
  • Multidisciplinary Coordination — Collaborate with nurses, physiotherapists, specialists and hospitals.
  • Patient & Family Education — Provide guidance on treatment, medication and preventive care.
  • Consent & Confidentiality — Obtain informed consent and safeguard patient information.
  • Documentation — Maintain complete and accurate electronic medical records.

Requirements
  • DHA license as a General Practitioner, or valid DHA registration/eligibility.
  • Valid medical registration and good‑standing certificate from relevant authorities.
  • Competence in general medicine, chronic disease management, elderly care, and emergency assessment.
  • Strong English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel to patient homes across Dubai.
  • UAE driving license preferred.
  • Previous homecare, primary care or community health experience is an advantage.
