Job summary

Simone's Tutoring is seeking an experienced GCSE/IGCSE & A-Level Specialist Tutor to support secondary and sixth-form students across international examination boards. You will provide personalised tuition focusing on curriculum mastery, exam technique, coursework, revision planning, and confidence building.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of British curriculum qualifications and a proven record of helping students improve grades and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject or education.
• MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching GCSE/IGCSE or A Level.
• Strong knowledge of at least one British exam board.
• Demonstrated subject expertise in the applicant’s specialist area.

Responsibilities

• Assess students’ attainment, learning gaps, and target grades.
• Deliver personalised GCSE/IGCSE/AS Level and A Level tuition.
• Teach one or more specialist subjects in line with exam specifications.
• Support students following Cambridge International, Pearson Edexcel, AQA, OCR, and other boards.
• Develop subject knowledge, critical thinking, analytical writing, problem-solving, and exam skills.
• Use past papers, mark schemes, examiner reports, and objectives to guide instruction.
• Prepare structured revision plans and targeted intervention programmes.
• Support coursework, practical work, and independent study where applicable.
• Conduct mock assessments and provide detailed feedback.
• Monitor progress and communicate with students and parents.
• Stay informed about curriculum and examination specification updates.
