Job summary

Client of Dr Expat in Al Ain seeks a Consultant Gastroenterologist to diagnose, treat and manage a broad spectrum of GI, liver, pancreatic, and digestive disorders. You will perform advanced endoscopic procedures and collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, oncologists, and other specialists to deliver exceptional patient care.

Applicants should hold MBBS/MD or equivalent with Gastroenterology board certification and 3–5 years post-board experience.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent and board certification in Gastroenterology.
• Western Board/CCT/CESR/American Board or equivalent Tier 1 qualification in Gastroenterology.
• 3–5 years of post-board Consultant experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic GI disorders.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
• Manage patients with liver disease, IBD, GI bleeding, pancreatic disorders, and functional GI conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation per DOH and hospital standards.
• Participate in quality improvement, clinical research, and CME.
• Educate patients on disease prevention and GI health.
